Injoyments teaches you to read financial data. It does not tell you what to invest in. Nothing on this site is investment, financial, tax or legal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. Any investment decision you make is yours alone.
Education, not advice
Injoyments LLC (“Injoyments”, “we”) provides tools and lessons that help you understand company financial ratios and how they compare. The service is general and impersonal: it doesn’t know your finances, goals, time horizon or tolerance for risk, and it is not tailored to you.
Injoyments is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, financial planner or tax adviser, and using the site does not create an advisory, fiduciary or client relationship of any kind. Before you make an investment decision, consider talking to a licensed professional who can look at your full situation.
What the scores and labels mean
The overall score and its labels (“Very strong”, “Strong”, “Mixed”, “Weak”, “Very weak”) summarize how a company’s most recently reported financial ratios measure up against fixed benchmarks for each ratio. Labels on individual ratios work the same way. They are a shorthand for what the reported numbers show, not an opinion on the stock.
- A strong score is not a reason to buy, and a weak score is not a reason to sell.
- Scores look backward at reported results. They do not predict future results, share prices or returns.
- Scores leave out much of what matters to an investment, including the share price and valuation, news, management, competition, the wider economy and your own circumstances.
- The benchmarks and weights behind the score are simplifications we chose for teaching. Reasonable people would choose different ones.
AI-generated explanations
Ratio explanations are written automatically by an AI model (currently OpenAI’s GPT-4o). They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and they can state mistakes confidently. Treat them as a starting point for your own reading and check anything important against the company’s own filings.
Data accuracy
Financial data on Injoyments is derived from publicly available company financial statements and is refreshed periodically, not in real time. It may be delayed, incomplete or contain errors, and companies sometimes restate past results. Competitor groupings and beta values are approximations. We do not guarantee that any figure is accurate or current. For decisions that matter, rely on the company’s filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Investing involves risk
All investing carries risk, including the loss of the money you invest. Past performance and past financial results do not guarantee future results. Examples, scenarios and calculations in our lessons are illustrations, not forecasts.
Your responsibility
You are solely responsible for your investment decisions and their results. To the fullest extent the law allows, Injoyments is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, anything on this site. See our Terms of Service for the full terms.
